Kabbage, Stripe to drive small business growth

Wednesday 21 August 2013 10:01 CET | News

Kabbage, a US-based provider of financing services to small and medium-sized merchants, has entered into an agreement with Stripe, a US-based online payment processor.

Under the terms of the alliance, Kabbage can now underwrite Stripe customers based exclusively on Stripe’s payment processing data. Over the last 6 months, Kabbage has also launched underwriting and distribution partnerships with Intuit’s QuickBooks and other partners to expand its underwriting platform and serve more small businesses.

Stripe enables developers to complete transactions without setting up merchant accounts and dealing with banks. The service is customised for web developers who want to make the application according to their specific requirements. The API allows developers to build their own payment forms avoiding PCI requirements and accepts payments by using minimal coding.

Kabbage provides financing options for online merchants to enable them to assess risk and help determine loan amounts as well as related fees and interest.
