Kuwait Finance House to implement MasterCard SecureCode platform

Monday 15 March 2010 00:14 CET | News

Islamic financial services provider Kuwait Finance House (KFH), will introduce the MasterCard SecureCode technological platform for cardholders and merchants.

The MasterCard SecureCode system is based on the 3D Secure protocol, a technical standard which is being used as an added layer of security for online card transactions. Cardholders who use these services select a private password which can be used when making online purchases.

KFHs MasterCard credit and prepaid cardholders will receive a private code, known only to the cardholders and the bank, for protection against unauthorized use of their cards when shopping online at participating online retailers.

KFH is also using the MasterCard Internet Gateway Service (MiGS) as a payment platform for issuing and acquiring processes. As a result, online transactions are now processed through MiGS and settled by the bank of choice.
