Malaysian Second Finance Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah has claimed that the government is aiming to get 90% of the public sector to offer e-payment options by the end of 2015.

This is part of the goverments efforts to create a cashless payment system similar to the US and Sweden, nst.com.my reports. Husni has said the current uptake rate stands at 34%, which is far from the targeted 90%.

However, he stressed that the government has registered a substantial increase in the number of services that have adopted the e-services in its operations up to 79%.
