Malaysia: MOLPay enables online shopping via mobile devices

Malaysian online payment service provider MOLPay has introduced a new version of its alternative payment method, enabling online buyers to make payments for their online purchases via smart phones or mobile internet devices.

The newly launched system has been developed after MasterCard’s Worldwide Online Shopping Survey has unveiled that 25 percent of the respondents in Malaysia have made transaction using their mobile device.

MOLPay which was formerly known as NBePay was founded in 2005 and has been acquired by the MOL Global Group in August 2011. MOLPay currently has more than 2,500 online merchants and is compliant with global security standards.
