PayPal and Microsoft have expanded their integration by enabling Xbox 360 users to pay via PayPal directly on their Xbox consoles.

Using Paypal as a payment option, Xbox 360 owners in more than 20 countries across the world will be able to buy Microsoft Points, Xbox Live gold subscriptions and Games on Demand titles directly from their console-connected TV on Xbox.com. Microsoft’s video game console Xbox 360 includes capabilities such as the integrated Xbox Live service which allows players to compete online, download arcade games, game demos, trailers, TV shows, music and movies and Windows Media Centre multimedia.

According to the study released by the research company Ispos in March 2011, almost 75 percent of people who identify themselves as gamers own PayPal accounts. In recent news, online invoicing, time tracking and billing software FreshBooks has rolled out an integration of its service with PayPal Business Payments to offer users the possibility to charge clients online instead of resorting to paper checks.
