MOL invests in Ocash to launch in Australia, New Zealand

Asian payment services provider MOL AccessPortal Sdn Bhd (MOL) has made a strategic investment in Ocash, a payment service provider, to launch in Australia and New Zealand.

The alliance will also provide more business opportunities for the Asian regions game developers and publishers as they will be able to extend their reach via MOL to consumers outside the region.

Ocash is a payment service provider specialising in online games credits for the Australia and New Zealand markets. MOLPay which was formerly known as NBePay was founded in 2005 and has been acquired by the MOL Global Group in August 2011. MOLPay currently has more than 2,500 online merchants and over than 600,000 physical and online payment channels and is compliant with global security standards. MOL has partnered with over 150 online game publishers and social networks worldwide including Facebook, Zynga and Electronic Arts.
