The Merchant Spotlight Award acknowledges online/multi-channel merchants whose creative payments or risk innovations and improved systems have contributed to the commercial and operational success of their own company, which may be replicated in other companies for the betterment of the eCommerce industry. Rosetta Stone, Inc. and thetrainline.com are this year’s recipients of this leading industry award.
“As the premier global fraud and payments association, we were pleased with the quality of innovative nominations received and congratulate the winners,” said Tom Donlea, MRC’s managing director for the Americas.
Conference attendees will also select the METAward winners, through live voting, from three finalists in the start-up and four finalists in the established company categories, who will present their innovations live on Thursday, March 28. Finalists in the start-up category include Curaxian, Sift Science and Signyfd. The established company category finalists include Accertify, CardinalCommerce, ReD and WorldPay.“The METAward recognizes solution providers delivering the most innovative, cutting edge technology for managing payments and risk in electronic commerce,” said Nicolas Vedrenne, MRC’s managing director of Europe.
Each nomination was evaluated for its innovation, potential for deployment, impact and relevance by a panel of merchants and solutions providers. Nominations for 2014 will open in November.
