US online payment processing services developer Braintree Payment Solutions has won a contract from OpenTable, a US provider of online restaurant reservations.

Under the terms of the deal, Braintree is to become OpenTables PCI compliance solutions partner for its Electronic Reservation Book software. As a result, the OpenTable software will support the security standards recently created by the PCI SSC by remotely storing credit card data and replacing sensitive data with unique tokens.

Braintree Payment Solutions processes electronic payment transactions, including those made via credit, debit, electronic check, electronic funds transfer and alternative payment methods. OpenTable has more than 11,000 restaurant customers.
