PayPal, Digital River expand online payment service agreement in Mexico and Brazil

PayPal has expanded its online payment services deal with US e-commerce services developer Digital River by leveraging the Digital River World Payments service to support local online payment processing in Brazil and Mexico.

Digital River World Payments service provides payment options which include checkout page optimization, fraud detection, services to manage PCI exposure and currency risk as well as back-office reconciliation and business intelligence tools. The payment service is available in more than 190 countries and supports over 170 transaction and display currencies.

PayPal and Digital River teamed up 9 years ago. Digital River’s multi-channel e-commerce service supports both direct and indirect sales. The company’s platform provides site development and hosting, order management, fraud management, export controls, tax management, physical and digital product fulfilment, multi-lingual customer service, reporting and strategic marketing services.
