PayPal has joined forces with MOL Access Portal Berhad (MOL), a payment systems provider in Asia, to launch a co-branded prepaid card in Malaysia.

Initially available on July 19, 2010, the MOL PayPal - The Digital Card is PayPals first co-branded prepaid card in the region and allows users to purchase from PayPal merchants worldwide even if they do not have a credit card. PayPal accounts can also be used to buy MOLPoints, MOL’s online game payment service in Malaysia, to play over 200 games online.

Malaysians will be able to buy The Digital Card in over 1,100 7-Eleven stores nationwide starting on July 19, 2010 or apply for it online. Users can top up the card at more than 15,000 physical outlets in Malaysia or via online banking.
