Petco, a US chain of retail stores, has signed a contract with US online debit payment services provider Mazooma to integrate the latter`s platform on its website.

As a result of the agreement, Petcos customers will be able to use their online checking accounts to make payments for products and services. To pay with Mazooma, consumers must select this option on the merchant’s checkout page, choose their bank from a drop-down menu, enter the online banking user name and password and are presented with the amount of money that must be paid as well as an approval button.

With more than USD 55 million in annual online sales and almost 2 million monthly visitors to Petco.com, the company offers pet supplies and services.
