Philippine: G-Xchange, AmEx to develop online payment services

G-Xchange, a subsidiary of Philippines-based mobile operator Globe Telecom and operator of the m-commerce service GCash, has teamed up with global financial services company American Express.

As part of the deal, the combined companies will develop an online payment service which will enable Globe GCASH mobile wallet customers to buy smartphone applications, music, movies, and games as well as electronics, toys, apparel and other goods from the US and the UK online websites which accept American Express.

In addition, all goods purchased via American Express using GCASH will be delivered from the US or the UK directly to consumers’ homes in the Philippines.
