Piano Media purchases audience identification technology from Novosense

Piano Media, the worldwide online subscription-based content payment system for media publishers, has purchased audience identification technology and all associated rights from Austrian technology company Novosense.

As a result, Piano brings metered pay-walls and individual content payment systems into its product portfolio. The new technology, dubbed Piano Solo, will help individual media monetize their online content, gaining access to Piano’s existing know-how and reducing risks and costs associated with a paid-content launch.

In addition, some of the original Novosense team members have joined the Piano development team and are integrating Novosense’s technology into Piano’s system. The integration is expected to be completed by December 2012.

Piano operates paid services including articles, video, audio, classifieds, mobile and many more. Piano provides its customers with technical solutions and an understanding of how online content can be monetized, marketed and upgraded.
