US-based multi-currency and data processor company Planet Payment has entered an agreement with Chinese independent bank The Bank of East Asia to launch the MICROS payment gateway at Hyatt Regency Hotels, namely Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, Sha Tin and Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, Tsim Sha Tsui.

As part of the agreement, the MICROS payment gateway will support Planet Payments Pay in Your Currency (PYC) service, dubbed the Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC). Via PYC, hotels allow their international guests to pay in their home currency. The MICROS payment gateway is compliant with PCI-DSS and PA-DSS standards and features encryption and transaction tokenisation.

Planet Payment enables processors, acquiring banks and their merchants in more than 15 countries to accept, process and reconcile credit card transactions in multiple currencies, allowing cardholders to view prices and settle transactions in their native currency. Planet Payment has offices in Atlanta, Beijing, Bermuda, Delaware, Dubai, London, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Singapore.
