PayPal and Polish financial institution Alior Sync have joined forces to provide person-to-person payment services.

As a result, all Alior Sync customers will be able to make person-to-person payments to anyone in more than 60 countries directly from their online banking using email address of the recipient.

Following the partnership, the procedure will be streamlined for Alior Sync customers, as the required forms in PayPal systems will be automatically pre-filled with data imported from Alior Sync. In addition to person-to person payments, Alior Sync and PayPal will introduce an additional feature, which will enable Alior Sync customers to deposit funds to PayPal account, as well as check PayPal balance, directly from their Alior Sync online banking.

In recent news, PayPal has inked a contract with US-based direct banking and payment services company Discover Financial Services, to issue payment cards to its more than 50 million active users in the US, beginning with April 2013.
