Poland: Piano Media adds new content into Piano payments system

Thursday 28 February 2013 07:15 CET | News

Piano Media, a European subscription-based content payment system for media publishers, has joined forces with three Polish publishers participating in Piano’s national payment system to increase content available in Piano’s offer for Polish Internet users.

Under the terms of the deal, Agora, Media Regionalne and Polskapresse will add new, exclusive content to Piano including at least 20 new magazines and an ad-free story aggregator.

Agora, publisher of Poland’s most popular newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza, is adding two magazines, one that previously has only been available in print from Polish news kiosks and the other being the company’s first digital-only paid magazine. Both Sport.pl ekstra and Magazyn Miedzynarodowy will be on the web, but can be read only by those with a Polish Piano subscription. Media Regionalne will present an entirely new product, www.ekstramagazyn.pl that aggregates the best stories from all of the publisher’s newspapers, while Polskapresse is changing its approach to paid content, aggregating more of its paid content in easier to find places.

Piano operates paid services including articles, video, audio, classifieds, mobile and many more. Piano provides its customers with technical solutions and an understanding of how online content can be monetized, marketed and upgraded.
