The Customer Payment Portal is set to offer a unique URL address that is linked from the companys website. The payment portal can be personalized for each business and does not require companies to store sensitive transaction information in their own system. The portal accepts single or recurring payments from checking and savings accounts, as well as credit card transactions.
The Customer Payment Portal has been developed for small- and mid-size businesses, including faith-based and charitable organizations, daycare centres, utilities, property management companies, municipalities and homeowners associations.
Financial services provider Mercantile Bank of Michigan already offers the Customer Payment Portal to its non-profit customers and intends to extend it for for-profit companies also.
