Wednesday 4 September 2013 11:53 CET | News

UK-based payment processing services developer Realex Payments has entered into an agreement with Elavon, a global payments provider and a subsidiary of US Bancorp, to provide a managed gateway solution and services for the new Elavon payment gateway.

As part of the deal, Realex Payments will provide an online, multi-channel payment gateway for businesses across the UK and Europe, outsourced and localised support functions including resources and tools to support clients and their technical teams.

In the last year revenue in the UK market has jumped by 95 percent and the company’s client base has doubled to 12,500. This growth was across all markets - direct corporate and business clients as well as managed gateway solutions. The company also recently launched Realex Fire, a new personal payment account enabling users to lodge and withdraw funds, create a circle of people to pay, send and receive payments, operate multiple accounts and get notifications on Facebook.

Realex Payments has also been providing gateway services to Global Payments (formerly HSBC Merchants Services) since 2012, offering a complete managed online payments product and service for all their e-commerce clients.

In recent news, Realex Payments has entered into an agreement with Ampersand Commerce, a Magento Gold Solution Partner, to develop the Realex Payments module for Magento.
