Russia: Yandex.Money, Sberbank join forces for payments service

The Russian online payment system Yandex.Money has entered a partnership with financial services provider Sberbank, according to the online media outlet pressrelease.com.

As part of the deal, Yandex.Money users will be able to top up their accounts, at Sberbank’s ATMs or payment terminals using a debit card from any Russian bank in order to pay bills or make purchases online. Additionally, Sberbank’s clients can top up their Yandex.Money accounts via the bank’s mobile banking option or their online banking system Sberbank OnLine.

Sberbank has the largest branch network in Russia, with over 19,100 retail outlets in 3,800 cities, about 28,000 ATMs and 17,000 payment terminals.
