SafetyPay, GlobalCollect enter strategic alliance

The agreement extends the reach of both organizations in markets around the world, while enabling the companies to provide their customers with a new payment option.

SafetyPay and GlobalCollect reach merchants and consumers in over 200 countries and territories across North America, Latin America, Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa to create a global footprint. With SafetyPay, merchants can offer goods and services to customers they weren’t previously able to serve, including:
• Customers who do not have internationally accepted credit cards;
• Customers who don’t want to use credit cards for fear of fraud or identity theft;
• Customers without credit cards, but sufficient funds in their bank accounts

SafetyPay enables customers to make purchases directly from their bank account or with cash in their local currency. SafetyPay focuses on the travel industry, digital goods and merchants who are looking to sell internationally. SafetyPay provides access to bank customers in Europe, US, Canada and Latin America.

GlobalCollect’s payment platform processes consumer transactions in more than 170 different countries using local currencies and supports more than 150 different payment methods. GlobalCollect provides e-payment services for international customer not-present channels such as internet, mail and telephone orders and serves a range of industries such as travel, ticketing, telecommunications, retail, publishing, portals, online gaming and digital content.
