Wednesday 12 January 2011 11:38 CET | News

Sage North America, a subsidiary of the global supplier of business management software and services Sage Group, has enhanced its product portfolio with the rollout of a new service, dubbed Sage Simply Accounting Direct Payments.

The newly-launched online service targets small businesses, providing them with the option to automate their payment and debit processes, while connecting their desktop accounting app to a cloud-based service. Thus, the service is set to offer subscribers the ability to pay invoices by depositing money into their vendors bank accounts and to electronically debit customers owing fees.

Moreover, customers record receipt of payments to vendors or from customers and submit to a cloud-based electronic payment processing service, which handles the processing, clearing and settling of the payments for the user.

Some of the capabilities of the new service include control over cost and accounts receivable. In addition, the vendor direct deposit is set to offer the option to make payments in either Canadian or US currency.
