SecureTrading, Hachette UK partner for online payments

Monday 29 April 2013 09:16 CET | News

Hachette UK, a book publishing group, has selected UK-based online payment processor SecureTrading, to provide online payments across seven of its publishing companies’ e-commerce websites.

SecureTrading will provide a hosted payment solution for all of Hachette UK’s subsidiary websites, which incorporates Headline Publishing Group, Hodder & Stoughton, John Murray, Orion Publishing Group, Octopus Publishing Group, Hachette Childrens Books, Little, Brown Book Group and Hodder Education Group, allowing the businesses to receive payments via the website, telephone, fax or mail order.

Using SecureTrading’s payment services, Hachette UK has become accredited as a PCI certified website. As part of this offering, SecureTrading uses tokenisation, a process that eliminates the need for customers to repeatedly enter credit and debit card details. Instead, it provides the merchant with a unique reference number (a token), helping prevent fraudulent activity.

In recent news, SecureTrading and Payonomy Payments, a payment service provider, have joined forces to provide a Salesforce payment application.
