Friday 2 October 2009 10:35 CET | News

Shopping.co.th, the Thai-language e-commerce website developed by Thai online portal Sanook.com and eBay, has added a Trust by Shopping.co.th service to protect merchants and customers from fraud, according to nationmultimedia.com.

The service integrates six applications for merchants and buyers, including a payment system dubbed PaySure by PaySbuy, Track & Trace from Thailand Post, Buyer & Seller Verification, Feedback Score, a buyer protection and an education program, the same source indicates, citing Sanook representatives.

The PaySure option enables customers to use either their credit card or their PaySbuy e-wallet, an online deposit account, for online purchases. When an online shopper makes an online transaction, the money will be stored within the PaySure system and the merchant will receive it after the product has been delivered. The Trust option will also check buyers identification number in order to protect merchants from fraud. Shopping.co.th enables individuals and businesses in Thailand to participate in local trade as well as cross border trade through eBay`s global websites.
