Standard Chartered Bank rolls out online remittance service for NRIs

Indian financial services company Standard Chartered Bank has rolled out Transfer2Home, a new online remittance service, as part of its services offering for non-resident Indians (NRIs). The service is set to enable customers to transfer money to India from the USA, the UK, UAE, Singapore, Hong Kong and Bahrain.

Standard Chartered has tied up with payments service provider TimesofMoney in order to service customers in the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Hong Kong and Bahrain.
TimesofMoney is a payments services company which provides them money transfer services for various financial institutions. Its Private Label Remittance Service caters to the global cross-border money transfer industry.

Standard Chartered Bank has also entered into a strategic arrangement with US-based BNY Mellon for providing Automated Clearing House (ACH)-based remittance service from the United States.

Standard Chartered Bank is Indias largest international bank with 94 branches in 37 cities and a combined customer base of around 2 million retail customers.
