Online transactions have registered GBP 60 million relating to 20,000 payments and 60,000 transactions in total since January 2010.
Due to this growth in online payment transactions, it is estimated that the government’s Online Services revenue for 2010-2011 will register a 13 percent growth.
In November 2010, the Isle of Man government introduced a home page for each service or group of services, describing what the service does without the need to login to Online Services first. The Isle of Man Government’s Online Services programme is aimed at improving the way the Isle of Man Government interacts with citizens and businesses by organising information and services around their needs.
Located in the British Isles, The Isle of Man is an internally self-governing dependent territory of the British Crown and it is not part of the UK. Its online services provide customers with electricity payments, rate payments, work permits and income tax.
