Tuesday 15 January 2013 08:47 CET | News

Transaction Network Services (TNS), a provider of payment gateway and payment network connectivity services, has expanded its presence in Asia by opening a Taiwan-based business unit.

The company has also appointed David Chiang as Country Manager. Mr Chiang will be responsible for generating new sales in the Greater China region, developing relationships with local banking and merchant organizations and promoting TNS solutions in the Taiwan market.

The office was opened after TNS had been granted a Type II Telecom Business license by the National Communications Commission of Taiwan, which enables it to provide international telecommunication and transactional processing services in Taiwan. TNS is working with a payments company in the region to migrate its business to a managed PCI DSS compliant service.

TNS activates in more than 40 countries across North and Latin America, Europe as well as Asia Pacific.
