Tuesday 6 August 2013 10:03 CET | News

Voucher-based prepaid payment services provider Ukash has entered into an agreement with Epipoli, an international relationship marketing company, to expand its presence in Italy.

As a result, Ukash will be able to expand its presence in more than 145 Esselunga stores in which Epipoli is already present. Epipoli introduced Gift Cards in Italy at Esselunga stores in 2008. Launched initially as a pilot program in a few test stores, the Gift Card extension has quickly expanded to all 145 stores within the chain consisting of various display formats.

Consumers in Italy will now be able to use Ukash to purchase online, exchanging cash and coins for Ukash codes. Accepted at a wide range of websites around the world, from shopping and Gift Cards to gaming, poker and bingo, Ukash can be purchased globally from more than 460,000 terminals in convenient locations including highway, railway stations and airports.

Established in 2001, Ukash has grown to more than 465,000 physical points of purchase, including 50,000 in the UK, and is available in more than 57 countries around the world.

In recent news, Ukash and ATM operator Bank Machine have teamed up to enable consumers to gain access to cash.
