USDT, SignatureLink launch CNPS technology for online sales

Wednesday 23 February 2011 10:32 CET | News

Payment processing technologies developer US Digital Transactions has revealed that the US electronic signatures provider SignatureLink has completed beta testing for the CNPS technology to enable e-commerce merchants to capture a “wet” signature during the online checkout process.

SignatureLink CNPS is an online signature technology which is set to validate online payment transactions by offering them legal protection and defense afforded to card-present transactions with a signature via its virtual signature pad. The buyer has to sign the signature pad with a stylus or mouse during the checkout process. As a result, the transaction details and terms and conditions are captured and the detailed record is then archived in SignatureLinks PCI & HIPPA compliant data vault. SignatureLink CNPS technology allows both the merchant and the consumer to view the entire transaction record including the agreed upon terms and conditions, cancellation / refund policy and the purchasers wet signature.

In December 2010, the two companies joined forces to create CNPS, the new form of payment transaction for the online retail industry.
