As part of the agreement, Wirecard is providing BluTV with digital payment solutions across Europe. In addition to the European expansion, BluTV is focusing on further strengthening its position in the MENA and LATAM markets.
According to the press release, a global study carried out by the Motion Picture Association of America revealed that in 2018, the number of subscriptions to streaming services increased to 613.3 million, a 27% increase in comparison to 2018. In fact, subscriptions to streaming services surpassed cable subscriptions in 2018.
