Tuesday 9 March 2010 14:20 CET | News

WorldNet, an Irish provider of online payment services to e-commerce merchants, has launched an iPhone Virtual Terminal card payment application.

With this application, businesses can accept card payment transactions via their iPhone. The Virtual Terminal is compatible with Apple’s iPhone 3G or iPod Touch technology and supports the processing of card transactions through domestic and international payment processors including Elavon Merchant Services, AIB Merchant Services and Barclaycard International.

With Vodafone set to join O2 as an iPhone service provider in March 2010, WorldNet will gain access to 500,000 potential business users for the iPhone Virtual Terminal application, in the Ireland and the UK.
The application can be downloaded from the Apple iPhone App Store.
