Accuity now provides its customers with information that serves to identify SEPA Direct Debit-compliant financial institutions, assisting them in the process of processing direct debit payments across the SEPA region.
SEPA Direct Debits (SDD) allow bank customers to make and receive direct debits across the 32 European countries that compose the SEPA area. As of its 2 November 2009 launch, SDD offers a standardised means for both consumers and B2B customers to collect and process direct debit payments.
To effectively process SDD payments, payment originators must first be able to identify which banks have registered as participants within these schemes. Accuity has enhanced its payment data and now identifies SDD participants via its Global Payment File-Plus, a payments data source covering bank locales worldwide complete with Standard Settlement Instructions (SSIs) for specific financial institutions. Accuity also offers the Global Banking Resource, an online search engine that offers access to a global database with financial institution information.
