Apriva, a US provider of wireless transactions and information messaging solutions, has signed a contract with Visa to introduce cashless payment technologies to US vending machine owners and operators.

Under the terms of the deal, Apriva is to incorporate Visa payWave, Visa’s contactless payment feature, with Apriva’s wireless payment processing solution, in a bid to enable vending machine owner/operators to conduct cashless and contactless payment processing from vending machines.

Apriva offers wireless payment technologies for financial services providers, including banks, merchant acquirers, credit card processors and independent sales organizations (ISOs). Via its two operating groups, Apriva Point of Sale (POS) and Apriva Information Security Systems (ISS), the company offers customers security solutions that integrate hardware, software, network infrastructure and management tools.
