Bank of America Merrill Lynch ready for SEPA Direct Debits launch

Bank of America Merrill Lynch is set to launch SEPA Direct Debits (SDD) on 2 November 2009, which will provide clients with enhanced receivables management across 32 European countries.

Starting 2 November, the bank`s clients will be able to participate in both the core business-to-consumer and business-to-business schemes. Bank of America will advise clients on how the SDD specific data elements can be integrated with their existing electronic file formats, according to a bank`s representative.

SEPA Direct Debit is a pan-regional cross-border direct debit instrument that aims to provide clients with a means to collect high volume payments in Europe.
