Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi adopts Pelican for SEPA

Monday 14 September 2009 08:42 CET | News

Financial services provider Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi (BTMU) has selected Pelican for SEPA Software as a Service, developed by payment services provider ACE Software Solutions and Capgemini BAS, a division of the Capgemini Group, a supplier of application services in the Dutch market, FinanceTech reports.

As a result of the initiative, BTMU will be able to automate the payments process by implementing Pelican as a SaaS offering. As the SEPA Direct Debit initiative is also to be supported by Pelican for SEPA, direct debit originators can collect EUR payments on any of the SEPA countries, including their own domestic direct debits using a single service, instead of the country specific service in use today.
