BNP Paribas continues to provide retail banking in Ukraine

French financial services provider BNP Paribas has decided to continue handling retail banking operations across Ukraine via its Akib UkrSibbank unit.

The Akib UkrSibbank unit, which is 85 percent owned by BNP and 15 percent by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, has revealed plans to provide customers with additional consumer services. In addition, the bank will also promote deposit services, consumer lending and corporate banking.

In recent news, BNP Paribas has entered a partnership with Clear2Pay. Under the agreement, the bank has been authorized to access Clear2Pay’s Open Payment Framework (OPF) in order to implement a single payments management platform for 13 of its countries in Asia.
