Via the HomeCurrencyPay, which is powered by Planet Payment, a US-based multi-currency payment and data processor, merchants enable international Visa and MasterCard cardholders to pay for their purchases in their own home currency. The service supports both EMV and magnetic stripe cards. HomeCurrencyPay will also provide merchants with seamless implementation, an automated process, default payment in Canadian dollars, with the option for instant conversion of 28 different currencies at the point of sale.
Global Payments currently offers dynamic currency conversion services across Asia, Spain and the UK. Canada is the first North American launch of dynamic currency conversion for the company, with the US scheduled for launch later in the summer of 2012.
