Cardtronics enters ATM Puerto Rican market via partnership with To Go Stores

US non-bank ATM operator Cardtronics has closed a deal with convenience store chain To Go Stores to install the first cash machines in Puerto Rico.

According to the agreement, Cardtronics will install ATMs in 11 of the 26 To Go Stores locations across the country. The company has also announced that it plans to place ATMs in the remaining To Go Stores locations in 2010.

Cardtronics operates in convenience stores, gas stations, drug store chains and other retail outlets throughout the US, the UK and Mexico. At the end of December, 2008, the company operated 32,950 ATMs comprising 28,350 ATMs in the US, nearly 2,500 ATMs throughout the UK and approximately 2,100 ATMs in Mexico. Cardtronics also collaborates with financial institutions to provide their customers with cash access and deposit capabilities via ATM branding, surcharge-free programs and image deposit.
