Cedicam and Equens sign commercial deal

Tuesday 1 March 2011 10:33 CET | News

French electronic payment services provider Cedicam and the Dutch payment processing services company Equens have inked a framework agreement to enter a commercial partnership.

Cedicam and Equens have set common goals to reduce unit processing costs, to be able to provide technical and commercial expertise and extend regional coverage. Thus, the commercial partnership between the two parties is set to expand joint businesses across the French, German, Dutch and Italian regions.

Under the partnership, the companies will implement the operational conditions for connecting their systems and exchanging transactions, a process dubbed the in-cloud processing, and also for optimising the supply conditions for hardware and software.

Cedicam is Credit Agricole Groups payment subsidiary, which provides its services to 58 million customers worldwide and has a network of 11,850 branches in more than 20 countries.

The companies also intend to expand potential commercial partnerships with the European subsidiaries of the Credit Agricole Group.
