China National Offshore Oil Corporation to deploy service station technology from Wincor Nixdorf

Wednesday 5 August 2009 10:51 CET | News

German IT services provider for the retail and banking sector Wincor Nixdorf has been awarded a service stations contract by Chinese offshore oil and gas producer China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC).

Under the terms of the partnership, CNOOC is set to deploy Wincor Nixdorf’s Beetle iSprint point of sale (POS) solution as well as its i-Service Station global point of sale suite, which incorporates all components of a petroleum/convenience store.

The German technology retailer will map most of CNOOC’s business processes, from service station POS terminals to the back office. In addition to the installation of a software platform, Wincor Nixdorf will be responsible for servicing all installed systems on an ongoing basis. The core of the i-Service Station platform is NAMOS compact, a solution which manages the entire service station operation from a central POS system.
