Citi achieves SWIFT Bank Readiness Certification

The Global Transaction Services division of financial services provider Citi has achieved SWIFT Bank Readiness Certification.

As a certified company, Citi is listed in SWIFT’s online database, which is set to offer corporations information on the SWIFT capabilities of their banking partners. Citi’s SWIFT services use an automated and centralized approach, which is set to allow the bank to implement its global branch network through a BIC (Business Identifier Code) connection.

Citi’s SWIFT Corporate Access Connectivity footprint is currently available across 90 countries globally.

Global Transaction Services offers integrated cash management, trade, securities and fund services to multinational corporations, financial institutions and public sector organizations around the world. Citigroup’s Global Transaction Services division currently supports over 65,000 clients.

In recent news, Citi, via its Global Transaction Services division, has joined Visa’s Syncada electronic financial supply chain platform.
