Citibank Bahrain rolls out Sharia-compliant Corporate Current Account

Citibank Bahrain and the Citi Islamic Investment Bank have launched a new Sharia-compliant account targeted at corporate clients, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The new Corporate Current Account comes to develop Citibank Bahrain’s offering for its Islamic banking segment. The bank’s corporate customers also have access to a range of Islamic investment options, ranging from Sukuks (Islamic Bonds) to Islamic mutual funds and customized structured notes.

Citi currently offers consumer banking services in Bahrain, the UAE and Egypt. Citibank Bahrain provides wealth management services as well as Islamic investment options, hedge funds, unit-linked insurance plans and the CitiBest Current Account.
