Wednesday 7 November 2012 10:20 CET | News

Clear2Pay, the international technology provider of payment solutions for financial institutions, clearing and settlement companies and corporates, has signed an agreement with Bancontact MisterCash, owner of the Belgian debit card scheme, to test the implementation of the scheme’s new switching infrastructure.

Clear2Pay will validate the implementation of the scheme switch as well as the acquirer and issuer processors connecting to this new switch, on behalf of Bancontact MisterCash Company.

In February 2011, the shareholders of Bancontact MisterCash have decided to align their payment system to the European standards of the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA), the EU integration initiative for the harmonization of card payments. The infrastructure is expected to be able to accept new players by mid-2013.

Bancontact MisterCash has selected Clear2Pay to develop a customised test solution and set up a certification environment. In addition, Clear2Pay’s Managed Services will accredit all acquirer and issuer processors that require connection to the Bancontact/Mister Cash switch.

Clear2Pay is a financial technology company focused on providing financial services institutions with electronic payments technology. Clear2Pay operates in Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, United Kingdom, Senegal, US, Australia, China, Malaysia and Singapore.
