Commerzbank, Sentenial to offer SEPA services

German financial institution Commerzbank has teamed up with SEPA payment services provider Sentenial to provide SEPA services to their Financial Institution (FI) customers.

The two companies have created a service aimed at FIs to allow them achieve SEPA direct debit compliance. The jointly developed service includes a capability which enables intelligent provisioning of R-message options ensuring users to initiate R-messages only when conditions permit. The SEPA service enables FI’s to provide debtor protection by blocking facilities which include account, mandate and transaction blocks.

Sentenial provides direct debit processing services for the direct debit schemes and SEPA to corporate and public sector customers. The company develops and sells EuroDebit application, which enables organizations to manage their debit payments, as well as debit process, including back office reconciliation, straight through processing, risk management, online user interfaces, and reporting.
