Commideas encryption payment services receive PA-DSS certification

Wednesday 15 December 2010 09:17 CET | News

UK developer of credit card processing technology Commidea has received Payment Application Data Security Standards (PA-DSS) compliance status for its encryption payment services, dubbed the Ocius Vx510 and Ocius Vx810 Duet.

Commidea’s encryption payment services ensure that all cardholder data is dually encrypted within the PCI-PTS certified PIN entry device before being transmitted across the merchant’s network and into Commidea’s PCI DSS Level 1 certified processing infrastructure.

Thus, the goal of PA-DSS is to help software vendors and others develop payment applications that do not store prohibited data, such as full magnetic stripe, CVV2 or PIN data, as well as ensure their payment applications support compliance with the PCI DSS.
