Deutsche Bank partners Tata Consultancy to implement TCS BaNCS banking system

German financial services provider Deutsche Bank has signed an agreement with global IT services provider Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for the implementation of a new banking platform for its global transaction banking operations.

Dubbed TCS BaNCS Core+ Banking, the banking platform is set to provide the financial institution with transaction banking capabilities such as account services, interest and charges, limits and facilities, liquidity management as well as reporting. As part of the first step of the implementation, Deutsche Bank has migrated its GTB branch in Abu Dhabi to the new core banking platform on December 11, 2010.

Deutsche Bank’a new banking platform deployment is part of a global initiative to transform the banks transaction banking platform in more than 30 countries. Financial terms of the transition have not been disclosed.
