Dollar Bank to install NCR APTRA Interactive Teller

Wednesday 22 February 2012 00:35 CET | News

US-based regional financial institution Dollar Bank has revealed plans to install a NCR APTRA Interactive Teller.

The new technology will allow consumers to complete transactions with a remote teller via video conference at the ATM, in addition to using traditional ATMs.

Dollar Bank is set to introduce both walk-up and drive-thru ATMs with remote teller services to selected branches in Q2 2012. For this operation, Dollar Bank has become a partner of NCR, a US-based global technology company.

APTRA Interactive Teller allows financial institutions to provide access to teller services during non-traditional banking hours, build new small-footprint branches and provide full teller services in areas not served by branches.
NCR has introduced APTRA Interactive Teller in 2011, in collaboration with uGenius Technologies, a US-based provider of video banking services.

Currently, there are more than 1,300 financial institutions in over 130 countries around the world which have deployed the NCR SelfServ ATMs.
