EVO Payments International completes acquisition of Deutsche Card Services

EVO Payments International, a US-based payments processor and acquirer for merchants, has completed the acquisition of Deutsche Card Services, formerly a wholly owned subsidiary of financial institution Deutsche Bank. Deutsche Card Services will conduct business under the name EVO Payments International GmbH.

The acquisition provides a platform that allows EVO to operate as a payments institution and a principal member of VISA and MasterCard in 39 European markets. As part of the acquisition, Deutsche Banks Global Transaction Banking division (GTB) and EVO also entered into a long-term strategic partnership that includes an exclusive pan-European joint marketing arrangement covering card acquiring and related products for GTB customers.

EVO Payments International offers a range of payment products and solutions to merchants, Independent Sales Organizations (ISOs), financial institutions, government organizations and multinational corporations located throughout the US, Canada and Europe. The company currently services almost 275,000 merchant customer businesses of all sizes, in various industries, focusing on small- to mid-sized merchants. EVOs annual processing volume has reached more than USD 30 billion in 2012.
