First Southern Bank, a provider of products and services for businesses and consumers, has selected US-based payments technology company transmodus to provide remote deposit capture with its cheque process automation functionality to its business clients. The transmodus cheque service allows First Southern Bank’s clients to utilize a system that handles the entire cycle of cheque processing.

With the transmodus functionality, a client scans a cheque from his/her location using a remote scanner and the deposit is processed. The client receives automatic notifications, custom reporting and can monitor every step of the deposit 24/7. Additionally, the client can elect to have bad cheques automatically placed into a recovery program.

The transmodus platform offers services that provide cheque, ACH and credit card payments automation. The company provides payment processing services for clients, banks and channel partners. The transmodus platform is PCI compliant and has completed a SAS 70 Type II audit. The Company powers linked2pay.com, a cloud-based service assisting payments processing by credit card or ACH.

In recent news, transmodus has added a Virtual Terminal to the linked2pay payments platform.
