US-based provider of financial services technology Fiserv has been granted a patent by the United States Patent and Trademark Office for its Unified Management Account (UMA) service.

Fiserv’s Unified Management Account service is set to enable cash transfer between styles in a UMA account after a cash drift is determined. The patent is focused on the inter-sleeve cash transfer that resolves cash drift within a Multi-Strategy Portfolio (MSP) account.

Furthermore, the patent covers the method of determining cash drift for each style and for flowing cash amongst the styles within each account to bring each style back to its target cash allocation.

Fiserv offers unified managed account technology with more than 380,000 accounts under management and more than one million UMA sleeves.
