FNB, Swaziland Electricity Company enter alliance

South African financial services provider First National Bank (FNB) has inked a contract with Swaziland Electricity Company (SEC) to introduce the purchasing of prepaid electricity using the bank’s electronic channels.

The new product would enable FNB clients to purchase prepaid electricity via cellphone banking, e-wallet, automated teller machines (ATMs) and using online banking.

In recent news, FNB has signed a white-label deal with UK cloud e-commerce platform mPowa to provide its payment device in South Africa.
